I
I For ISHAAN
Taare Zameen Par(2007), a movie that touched many hearts to the core, is all about smart parenting and teaching as well. the story revolves around Ishaan, an eight-year-old dyslexic child. Dyslexia is a learning disorder that involves difficulty reading due to problems identifying speech sounds and learning how they relate to letters and words. I can bet you, the movie and it’s song “Main kabhi batlata nahi, par andheron se darta hu main Maa” will leave you not only teary-eyed and emotional also in contemplation.

ABOUT MOVIE :-
In the world of competition where parents are in the senseless marathon of imposing their aspirations on kids regardless of kid’s peace of mind and real happiness. if they know something i.e. the measurement of achievements on the single factor top marks. Ishaan Awasthi ( Darsheel Safary) is striving his best to catch the race with his improbable pace. Although he is outstanding in painting, his dull and disappointing performance in school enforced his hard-nosed father Nandkishore Awasthi (Vipin Sharma) to send him to a boarding school to evolve some sense of discipline and sincerity in Ishaan. whereas, his brilliant and loving brother Yohaan , and mother Maya Awasthi (Tisca Chopra) are not in support of Nandkishore but helplessly agreed on it. Ishaan’s art teacher Ram Shankar Nikumbh (Amir Khan) suspects his gloom behavior towards the study and his ability to mingle up, in his further analysis he found that Ishaan is dyslexic and helps him overcome his disability.

EYE OPENER POINTERS:-
1). Understand your kid and his potential, their imprudence towards any deed, requires your observation rather than a chain of hurls or punishments, it is not about only Ishaan or dyslexia any parenting and teaching job demands tremendous patience to read the behavior of kids if they respond strangely even for simple measures and then change your action in accordance.
2). Every kid is unique , each one is blessed with some unique talent, don’t ruin their uniqueness by comparing them with their siblings or friends or anyone, Sun and Moon have their own charm and the reason of their existence, we as a parent must understand that it is completely OK if similar tactics don’t work for another child.
3). Help your kids to explore their passion instead of mixing it with your like and dislike, as a parent you can suggest and advise them directions with all the pros and cons but don’t force them, become a guide, take them along on the research of Dos and Don’ts, sit with them listen to all their heart too, make them relax if they fail to score high, encourage them for the next jump.
4). Let the kids dream, let the kids throw questions, let them give freedom to choose, it cultivates the confidence in them. Don’t ruin their curiosity by criticism, ultimately we are parents, I call for teachers also here that we are much more able to take pressures than these tiny tots, so give them wings to fly, preserve their innocence to blossom.
That is all for today see you tomorrow with another crazy character. Till then have a happy reading, leave with your comments and promise to be back tomorrow!!

Academic stress can be difficult for a normal child to manage, let alone a dyslexic child. I love this movie. It’s easily one of my favourites. If only all the teachers and parents were like Ram Shankar Nikumbh!
Thank you so much for the reading and stopping by Shweta
It is a wonderful movie a master piece and takeaways are simply super. Keep rocking.
Thank you So much Siva
I truly admired the character of Ishaan. Ishaan is there in every child. But due to pressure, it gets lost somewhere. This movie makes me nostalgic every time I watch it.
so true Alpana , thank you so much for stopping by
This movie has really moved me. This came exactly when I was carrying my elder one and it made me realize big time about the kids and their own aspirations and also the fact every child is different. It always brings tears in yes even when I watch it today.
Glad it took you to the time of sweet memories, Thank you so much Pragun for reading and dropping by
The key to help a child to bloom is first to understand them. My son had a speech problem initially and that was the time when he was unfriendly with his peers. But encouragement and few speech-related exercises helped him to thrive. This movie will be always close to my heart and that song rips your heart whenever you hear it.
exactly you get the gist of the message Debi, Yes, encouragements do miracles, your take and efforts always inspire me, thank you so much for dropping by
I loved this movie because of its unique concept. indeed each child is unique and as a parent, it is our responsibility to focus on our child’s individual talent and personality traits. this movie has taught us this important parenting lesson in such an entertaining way.

One of the finest movies of those times. I was a part of the movie and have seen the dedication Aamir sir and Ishaan put in for the painting classes. Perfectionist after all. Nice post.
