First of all, thank you Booktasters for being asking me for the book review and top of that for being so patient with me, I know I have been so late in reading and reviewing the book ‘Rainbow Crystal: The Special Boy Who Could’ by Samantha Caprio- Negret. Nevertheless, I truly believe it is always better late than never. So here I am with my review of a wonderful read.

Enzo, along with Seraphina and Ava, journey to fight Abigor and his two blood-sucking gargoyles to return the powerful rainbow crystal to the fallen and dying Wizard Arbit Maximus before it’s too late. Because if the powerful wizard dies, who will take his place and rule all the realms in Raiven?
More secrets, hidden realms, and mystical and mythical characters present themselves in this adventurous, magical story about true friendship, courage, and hope. New fairies and dragons leap along for the ride who help Seraphina, Ava, and Enzo to fight darkness. They come to find out that they’re not the only ones guiding them, but so is Seraphina’s best friend from her past who died, Josie Lee. Her presence proves to always still be around. But even Josie Lee has grown in power on the other side… from spirit guide to luminescent angel.
About Author
Samantha graduated with a BS in Journalism from Florida International University in 2003. She wrote and reported entertainment scripts that were aired on FOXWSVN 7 in Miami, FL, and OWL Radio at Florida Atlantic University in Boca. She is passionate about writing and has been writing short stories and poetry since she was a kid, after learning that her favorite grandmother was a poet. Samantha began writing children’s stories in 2004 and has completed a 62,000 middle-grade, fantasy called, RAINBOW CRYSTAL, which was released on May 15, 2018, with CLEAN READS (ASTRAEA PRESS). She has also completed an 18,000 humorous, animal-talking, chapter book called MURPHY: THE PHAT CAT. In addition, she co-wrote and finished a screenplay based on a true story about her Italian great-grandparents, which is currently being shopped in Hollywood.
Samantha is also the VP/Director of PR for a charity called RAINBOW GUARDIAN, which serves the intellectually challenged/developmentally disabled population, including autism. She owns and assists her family over-see a residential facility in Southwest Ranches, FL, which houses up to eight special-needs females, ranging in age and disability. Mainly, she’s a busy bee being a wife and mother to two children, Bella and Lorenzo. She enjoys reading, watching movies, working out, blogging, spending quality time with good friends, and/or traveling whenever she can find extra time (usually one of those activities accompanies a cup of coffee or glass of wine), minus the working out part. However, there are always exceptions. Samantha has two bulldogs (Bleu and Buster), one white, fluffy cat named Gracie, who is the princess of the castle, a new kitty named Marlo Brando, and a bunch of exotic fish corals, and albino iguanas. She has a lot of love, abundance, and activity around her; she feels blessed — and even sometimes stressed — every day for it all.
My Review
The book ‘The Special Boy Who Could” By Samantha Caprio-Negret constitutes 18 chapters. In dazzling adventure, 12-year-old Seraphina and her friend Ava become friends with ‘a special-needs boy, Enzo; following this, Seraphina gets a dream from Wizard Arbit Maximus and learns that the magical realm of Raiven needs her yet again, but this time she is not “The chosen one” She must find the “Special Boy Who Could,” meanwhile an evil sorcerer, Abigor threatens destruction to the world of Earth and the Realm of Raiven!
Do they have what it takes, it all depends on “The Special Boy Who Could”!
The narration of the tale by the author is very intriguing that kept me hooked till the end; also, the flawless pitch of the language with the tinge of humor will make you feel every scene passing by in front of your eyes.
I highly recommend the amazing book to all the fantasy lovers who are ready to break all the boundaries to open the door of mysteries and magic. Trust me, this book has everything they are looking for.
Hit Points
The special bond of three friends is the USP of this fantasy tale. Along with this, there are few more reasons I like about this book. First, it takes an awesome twist into the world of fantasy, encompassing many details. I also think that it raises the level of alert about people with disabilities because it teaches those individuals to empower themselves and muster up some courage to face the world head-on! It teaches people that disabilities don’t hold people back. It’s thoughts of those around you that do. The plot is also very well made; all 18 chapters of the book are truly worth the effort!
Second, this book because it incorporates some humor that any reader could easily pick up on, the language is pretty good, but some words may be hard to understand for young readers!
Miss Points
I have realized that the fantasy contents of this book are a bit “out there,” but that’s what fantasy is all about! So, all I advise you to do is keep this detail in mind as you are taking in the book, and let your imagination guide you into the wonderful world of Raiven!

This is a wonderful charming book . The story is extremely intriguing and the world building is on point . Great thoughts.
I remember reading fantasy books in my childhood but it’s been many years that I haven’t touched anyone now. But this one definitely has ignited my lost love of fantasies and would love to grab it and read along with my daughter as she loves fantasy and mystery book.

This seems to be a really interesting and fascinating book. An adventure saga that reminds me of the mystery books of Enid Blyton.

Would love to introduce this book to my younger one as most of the time she is in her fantasy world. I am sure she will love this and will get more ideas to create one of her own. She is writing a book and after reading that I realise kids are so nieve and love ti be in their own fantasy would.
